PUBG fever-know why is everyone talking about it

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile game is published by Tencent Games and is available for Android and iOS (i.e., iPhone). 

The game is currently undergoing a phased roll-out, from 19 March 2018, but it is a global roll-out and it's available in the UK and other territories on Android. The iOS version is also available.

You can find the Android version on Google Play and the iOS version on the Apple App Store. 

PUBG basic game play-

There are three modes of play: solo, duo and squad, with the latter letting you team up with three other players for a team of four. Each is a little different with various pros and cons, the big pro of team play being that have people to support you, revive you and bring an element of co-operative tactics to the game.

The game starts with you parachuting onto the game island. On landing your mission is to gather everything you can to help you win, from clothes to medical supplies to weapons, with a wide range of weapons and modifications for those weapons.


Mobile controls and experiences

The Mobile game provides the same gameplay elements as the PC and Xbox game, but uses on-screen controls. These can be customised for a number of different layouts and elements to suit the size of your device or preferences. You can also change the controls for driving vehicles in the game, of which there are a number of options.

“There’s many ways a willing user can upgrade their mobile PUBGexperience,” Motherboard reported. “Players have installed the game on Chromebooks, paired Bluetooth devices to their phones, and run emulators on their PC to make the game run with a mouse and keyboard. After an afternoon spent cheesing Battlegrounds mobile in various ways, I’m here to tell you it’s easy to do and it’s totally cheating. Don’t do it.”

It seems futile to ask players to not take advantage of a method of playing that’s easy to set up and will give them a massive advantage, while not explicitly hacking the game. Using the touchscreen controls when you play PUBG Mobile feels like part of the game’s social contract, but that contract is so easily broken — and doing so gives players such an immediate boost — that it’s hard to imagine the practice is going to wind down on its own

PUBG Mobile is far from perfect, but it definitely has some good ideas. Whether or not any of these well-received features and improvements in PUBG Mobile are adopted by the PC or Xbox One versions of the game remains to be seen, but with PUBG being an continuously evolving experience, it’s certainly possible.
